108|Contemporary is currently accepting submissions for the Riverfield 8th Grade Art Exhibition. We are seeking proposals that highlight innovative approaches to contemporary craft.  

Eligibility 

• Must be a current 8th-grade student enrolled at Riverfield Country Day School
• Artwork submitted was created within the past year  

Submission 

Proposals should include the following to be considered:  

• A minimum of 3 high-resolution (300dpi) images, either representative or preliminary sketches
• 100-200-word artist statement
• Proposals should be uploaded through Submittable.

Evaluation

All proposals are evaluated against the following criteria. 

• Innovation and Originality: the compelling nature of the artwork, the unique connections it seeks to create, themes, and/or the timely conversations it seeks to incite 
• Quality of Craftsmanship: the artist’s mastery of chosen media and the level of care and attention that is evident in submitted pieces
